Our broad for today’s show is actually two broads—sisters, authors, publishers, and longtime friends of mine: Elizabeth Doyle Carey and Carrie Doyle. Between them, they have five sons, and their families make their homes in the Hamptons. Two years ago, they pooled their resources and talents and joined with their partner, Tiffany Palmer, to launch Dunemere Books, an independent book publisher of destination fiction for all ages.
How is Dunemere Books different? As authors, Liz and Carrie were frustrated with the popular slow model of book publishing and the fact that writers give up so much control over their work to a publisher. They wanted their company to stand out and be set apart---and they’ve taken great strides to accomplish those purposes. As writers and publishers, they cater to middle grade and young adult readers, but they have big plans on the horizon! Join us for their amazing story!
